The University of Connecticut is excited to announce a new partnership with John Michael Associates, Inc. (JMA) of Newington, CT to exclusively manage the Promotional Products and Apparel purchases for internal stakeholders at UConn beginning July 1, 2022. UConn and JMA are proud to partner to provide Promotional Products and Apparel with best-in-class service in adherence with UConn’s Brand Standards, Vendor Code of Conduct and Corporate Social Responsibility and Human Rights standards.
This partnership is the result of a public solicitation managed by University Business Services and the Office of Brand Partnerships and Trademark Management. Beginning July 1, 2022, UConn customers will have access to JMA through HuskyBuy as a punch-out catalog to seamlessly purchase and process orders, including custom orders. In the interim, orders should be submitted manually through HuskyBuy. Please contact Jay Botwick, Sales Operations Manager, at email@example.com for quotations. JMA will also have a dedicated customer service team able to handle requests of any size and scope, including accessing items not contained in the HuskyBuy catalog. The contract provides UConn with preferred pricing terms and on-demand availability for certain items with UConn branding.
This new relationship will also coincide with the discontinuation of the use of the P-Card for promotional product and apparel purchases. All purchases will be made through HuskyBuy in order to track and monitor them appropriately. Beginning July 1, 2022, the use of the P-Card for these items will be prohibited.
Over the summer, UConn and JMA will be hosting a series of opportunities to meet the JMA team on campus, review product offering and ask any questions you may have. Details will be available on these sessions in the Daily Digest.
